Thursday September 23 at 7:00 pm
Blue Hill Public Library (online)

The Blue Hill Public Library and Blue Hill Books are co-sponsoring an author talk with summer resident artist and author Hannah Burr on Thursday September 23, 2021 at 7:00pm on Zoom to speak about her book Contemporary Prayers to Whatever Works.

Contemporary Prayers to Whatever Works has simple prayers and meditations to help you connect, with bright color forms included in each prayer. The prayers are nondenominational and encourage you, no matter your creed, to take a moment, breathe, and reconnect with the support that is out there, waiting for you.

Contemporary artist Hannah Burr lives in Southeast Michigan and is the author of four books about direct connection to inspiration and new ways of seeing and being in the world. Her fourth book, the brand new Contemporary Prayers to Whatever Works came out in Spring 2021.

Hannah’s artwork has been on view at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Currier Museum NH, the Drawing Center NY, and both the Danforth and Rose Art Museums in greater Massachusetts. She is a Berkshire Taconic and Mass Cultural Council Award winner, and a former MacDowell Colony Fellow. Hannah has been represented by Judy Goldman Fine Art Gallery, Boston, Barbara Singer Fine Art Cambridge MA, and Judith Leighton Gallery Blue Hill, Maine.
